A lady from Nottingham called Kajsa Tylen is attempting the world record for the furthest distance cycled by a woman in a year.

The record she needs to beat is 29,603 miles, set in 1938 by Billie Fleming (who lived to the age of 100).
Bryan Lunduke‘s article “The World We Leave Our Children: How I became a free software extremist” gave me pause for thought.
(I came across it while reading about his experiment in switching away from Gmail and from all other Google products and services. It’s interesting to read in his conclusion which ones he’s happy to leave and which ones he goes back to.)
